This, obviously, is a rant, if you haven't noticed by the title.

Anyways, since I got my xbox live back for a day (internet at one home not working and being a bitch) I decided to play Left 4 Dead 2 online co-op figuring people would be willing to have fun and play the game.

So the group I was doing it with (screennames shall be disclosed...) was two (I'm assuming) friends and another person who just happened to join (at least I think). So I just decided to play, since I'm more into the game to care if people are having some war between themselves. In the beginning we do very good, it took me a bit of time to get used to their playing styles since they left my character with nothing except two guns. (Which I don't mind because I can easily pop back). I didn't mind two of them shooting others accidently or taking several items without asking if anybody needed them, it happens.

But what bugged me was, when we arrived at the concert in Dark Carnival we failed the first time since we each had our own favorite spot to hide. That didn't bug me, the fact was, when it loaded the second time I healed along with them and was finishing grabbing the guns I was planning on using and right when I opened the door to step outside Coach started shooting me.

I figured it was an accident, seeing he was the most trigger happy the entire game and hit everyone LOADS of times during the playthrough so I ignored it and tried for the door again. This time he pulled out a shotgun and started to shoot me even more. Obviously I got angry and started to fire back, thinking he'd understand to back off, but instead he knocked me to the ground seeing as he attacked me before I did. Instead the other playing Nick (herein where I think they were friends) started to attack me too and I continued to fire at Coach, even while laying on the ground. The person playing Rochelle was on the other side of the room healing and didn't see (damn you wall!) and then came over to join in in murding the zombies. They killed me (yeah, they were STILL shooting me) and then teamed up on shooting Rochelle. Once she was on the floor coach shot her every so often (she shot back a couple times, I'm assuming in way to tell him off) and the guy playing Nick would begin to heal her and then drop her and heal her and drop her and heal her and drop her....

You see where I'm going with that.

So I just left the lobby and turned the game off. It makes me sick that these types of people even play games that are team-supportive, if you want an anti-team game play one, not one where you have to RELY on each other. I mean, they (obviously) couldn't complete the levels before (especially because when I joined it was just the beginning of level two and they were all pretty much already DEAD...) so why destroy the little help you get?

Sorry for the rant, these types of people just really fustrate me. Seriously, it's times like these where I KNOW I should just keep my mouth shut and ignore it, but my point is play the game for fun, not to ruin the fun of people that came to play because they like the game.

I'm not exactly tempted to turn it back on and find some people who are into the fun and not going to kill each other, but if anyone has xbox live that can play and promises to NOT kill me that'd be appreciated. Online co-op was awesome and had such good qualities I don't want my experience for L4D2 to be a bad one.

It was my first time with L4D2 online also, so I guess it just had a big impact on me. :/
